Gifting

I love birthdays.  Possibly more than the average Jane.  Something about them is so wonderfully fun and like no other day in the remaining 364 days of the year.  They excite me like nothing else.  It doesn't even have to be my birthday--I actually like others' more.

Who wouldn't love to open these little gems on their special day?

Imagine these beauties attached to a tower of gifts...

Or this enclosure card tucked inside a sweet gift bag...

I think I will.

And you should too....

Camp Mimi

While the whole Walker clan lives nearby, I know there will be times when Hayes and other future-grandchildren will need a weekend retreat.

Enter Camp Mimi

My mom (aka Mimi) has had a blast putting together a little mini-nursery for Hayes together upstairs at her house.  Even Grandpa (with an undecided name) approves!

Hello 24!

Happy birthday to me!

I'm planning to spend the day organizing (I'm not 18 anymore, you know), having lunch with my man-friend (his requested title change...), and celebrating another year with great friends and great food at a lovely birthday dinner celebration!  Whoo hoo!!!

On My Nightstand

Summer time is reading time in my book.  During the rest of the year, I usually make it through about 4 pages before falling asleep in my bed.  This summer, I've kept the old library card and Barnes card in high usage.  It's been great!

My number one read.  It's beyond fabulous, and I hear it's coming to theaters. Yahoo!

This one's a follow up to this...

Both are equally fabulous (of the finish in one read variety).

Last but not least...
I've done tons of her Bible studies (they're my favorites), and this book is no different.  It's a keeper.

Look Who We Ran Into!

Ok the sister and I have been following (some might even consider it slight stalking) this design superstar for quite some time now.  In case you haven't met, here's Erika.  Let me tell you, you should know her.

She's famous--Southern Living famous.  And Coastal Living famous.  And many more famous I'm sure.

I think I'll just move on in.

After much talk of our so-called "friendship" (mostly on the part of sister's husband and my bf Will), we ran into her at dinner at the beach on Friday.  And we're friends now.  No more mentions of "Who's Erika?" are allowed.  The boys were floored, and the girls were over the moon!

so excited!

He was thrilled!

Thanks to Erika for being such a great sport!  We are already planning for next summer!
